"For over three decades, the Pi'on Awards have allowed us to shine light on the people and organizations that are driving positive change across our region with unwavering commitment, generosity, and innovation," says Christopher Goett, CEO of the Santa Fe Community Foundation.
This year's winners were selected in six categories from more than two dozen nominations submitted by the public, per a press release.
They'll be honored Oct. 6 at the Pi'on Awards ceremony and dinner.
Among the winners: Courageous Innovation Award: NDI New Mexico, an organization that uses a bold approach to solve a persistent problem in the community.
Quiet Inspiration Award: Gerard's House, an organization that provides a safe place for grieving children, teens, and families, where healing happens through acceptance and peer support.
Visionary Award: STEM Santa Fe, an organization that advocates for, develops, and provides STEM programming, mentoring, and resources for all youth.
Resiliency Award: Sky Center: New Mexico Suicide Intervention Project, an organization that is building the resilience of those most vulnerable to emergencies, including efforts to respond to natural disasters, public health crises, and systemic injustices.
